LifeLine Ambulance is looking for a strong candidate to join our Billing Team to interact in a professional manner with patients, customers, coworkers, vendors and other company personnel to help complete billing and dispatch.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential:
- Responsible for all facets of Ambulance Billing Revenue Cycle Management.
- Must provide a high level of quality customer service.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Adherence to established procedures, protocols and regulations and the ability to exercise professional judgment and independent initiative.
- Answer and evaluate incoming calls to determine the correct response.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Dispatch units and transmit information and messages upon request and/or according to established procedures.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment under pressure.
- Operate EMS radio dispatch equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess strong computer based skills that include knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite programs.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Experience in medical billing and procedures preferred, but not required. Good clerical skills, including filing, typing, computer and basic office equipment use. Excellent customer service skills and skills in obtaining, researching, clarifying and exchanging information preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Ambulance Coder desired but not required.
Training/certification opportunities provided.

Compensation: $20-$23/hour depending upon experience.
Bilingual skills are highly preferred.
Position is in-office based Sunday-Saturday depending upon availability.
