We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Long Term Care Pharmacy Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy billing, particularly in the long-term care setting, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Description
- Conduct daily census checks.
- Review admissions and discharges to ensure accurate billing.
- Update payer information as necessary, including changes and additions.
- Rebill accounts as necessary to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Review rejected claims and take appropriate actions for resubmission.
- Handle billing calls and inquiries from facilities and private payers.
- Manage month-end billing processes, including submitting invoices to facilities and private payers.
- Follow up on delinquent accounts and implement collection strategies when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy billing, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and pharmacy billing software (experience with QS/1 is a plus).
- Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
