At Bridge Prenatal, we are a dynamic, fast-growing provider of in-person and virtual Enhanced Care Management services for pregnant and postpartum individuals. Bridge Prenatal offers a comprehensive approach to care during pregnancy and up to one year after delivery, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs of eligible Medi-Cal members.
Bridge Prenatal’s free services in southern California include: prenatal and postpartum education, mental health assessments, blood pressure checks, lactation and doula support, registered nurse evaluations, and referrals to community-based resources and social support services.
Bridge Prenatal is looking for an Birth & Postpartum Doula to assist families with a prenatal and postnatal birth plan, where they can identify their support system, navigate their health appointments, know their pain management options, and have the education on the risks and benefits of each option. The role is dedicated to enhancing maternal well-being by offering personalized, culturally sensitive care, education, and advocacy tailored to the unique needs of each family. This position is strictly outpatient and does not include responsibilities in inpatient or in-hospital settings. The outpatient doula will provide support exclusively in-person or via telehealth working with patients during prenatal and postpartum visits outside of the hospital environment. This role focuses on educating and supporting patients during office visits, follow-up calls, and through community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough outpatient prenatal and postnatal assessments
- Provides insights to help patients and families cope with transitioning into parenthood in a well-deserved and supported manner
- Advocate for families to help navigate western perspective settings as well as to merge ancestral and multicultural approaches to prenatal, postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient progress in various electronic health records
- Required to do in-home and virtual visits at the preference of the patient. Serving patients in either San Diego County, San Bernardino County, or Riverside County.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification as Doula (preferably DONA, CAPPA, or similar accredited organization) or eligibility to obtain certification within six months of hire.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a doula, preferably in an outpatient or community setting.
- Previous experience in maternal and child health settings is preferred
- Additional qualifications preferred: IBCLC, CLC, CLE
- Strong communication, empathy, advocacy skills, and interpersonal skills (bilingual or multilingual preferred).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including people from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
