We are looking for a Blaster that will be responsible for removal of paint and oxidation from railcars prior to paint. Removal of expended blast materials.Job Requirements:
- Safely operate blast equipment with moderate supervision.
- Produce blasted cars that meet the instruction given within the time frame allowed.
- Basic readying, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds safely and able to drag blast hose over full length of railcar.
- Able to pass drug screen and physical.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- May work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection.
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
