Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Assistant Manager to oversee our automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality service, and leading a team of skilled technicians. This role requires a strong background in auto body repair and vehicle maintenance, along with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Oversee the quality of repairs and services provided to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints effectively.
- Maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for operations.
- Collaborate with technicians on complex repairs involving auto body work, glass replacement, and restoration projects.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely while providing guidance to staff on their proper use.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of shop management and repairs.
- Proficient in auto body repair techniques and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools.
- Familiarity with auto glass installation and repair processes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of auto restoration techniques is beneficial for managing specialized projects.
- Familiar with CDK software and CCC Workflow management systems

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
