Bookkeeping, Payroll & Tax Prep Assistant – Pet-Loving Accounting Team Needs You!
We’re a growing accounting firm in Newcastle, Maine, and we’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and motivated team member to help us serve our clients with accuracy and care.
This is a fast-paced role that includes a variety of responsibilities, from bookkeeping and payroll to tax preparation and office support. It’s not an entry-level position—we’re looking for someone who’s ready to work hard, learn quickly, and grow with us.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Payroll processing
- Tax return preparation (individual and small business)
- Answering phones and assisting clients professionally
- Scanning, organizing, and maintaining digital records
- General office support as needed
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is great with computers (QuickBooks, Excel, and tax software experience a plus)
- Is eager to learn and not afraid of a challenge
- Is organized, dependable, and pays close attention to detail
- Can multitask and stay cool under pressure
- Works well with a small, collaborative team
