Job Purpose:
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for maintaining the buffet station during breakfast service, while providing a friendly, outgoing demeanor needed to impact overall breakfast experience. They will be responsible for setting and clearing restaurant tables; stocking all service stations and provide table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets the guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting.
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments. Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as necessary.
- Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Observe and ask guests about their needs and levels of satisfaction with the food or service; describe and/or answer questions for guests about menu items, the buffet, daily specials, etc.; talk with guests in order to create a friendly atmosphere and respond to their questions about attractions or other information in the area.
- Verbally communicates, in a calm, positive demeanor with the kitchen, service, beverage, convention services, and engineering staff, as well as the guest host to ensure timely execution of events, quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standards.
- Explains any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
- Replenishes beverages as necessary and check with guest for overall satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
