Fast-paced and growing company is looking for a talented, innovative Controls Sales Executive who wants to be part of a collaborative team that provides first in class building automation solutions.

In this position you will garner controls revenue and achieve margin goals by supporting the company’s mission to deliver exceptional customer service through the sale of projects involving building automation systems and services in all vertical markets. You will be tasked to identify and sell HVAC automation solutions that can help the client achieve their environmental, operational, and financial goals.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $85,000-$100,000, plus performance-based commission. Clients are located in the MD/DC/NoVA area. Project Managers and BAS Technicians/Project Engineers who are considering a career in sales are welcome to apply!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.

  • Prospects to locate and develop relationships with new clients.
  • Utilizes account management processes for target customers.
  • Develops and implements specific action plans that improve project closure rate and produce profitable business.
  • Develops and delivers presentations for prospective clients.
  • Qualifies leads and converts opportunities into sales.
  • Works effectively in a team selling environment.
  • Works with existing and prospective clients to understand project goals.
  • Improves project closure rate through high level business relationships.
  • Collects and communicates to operations the pertinent project information required to create quality project estimates.
  • Confirms project scope and bill of material with customers.
  • Determines recommended selling strategy and initial pricing.
  • Presents the proposal and negotiates price and contract terms and conditions with customers and secures orders.
  • Coordinates or engages in the project execution process as required.
  • Resolves deviations in scope with the client to preserve client experience and satisfaction.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Develops positive relationships with company leadership and employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical or business-related field desired.
  • Three+ years of experience in BAS or commercial HVAC Sales.
  • CEM, LEED AP, PE accreditations or certificates a plus.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to commute throughout territory as required.
  • Ability to function independently and deliver results.
