Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team and play a key role in the commissioning, programming, and servicing of complex building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, controls integration, and field commissioning with a focus on customer satisfaction and system performance.
Responsibilties:
- Perform complex preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of HVAC and Building Automation Systems.
- Execute startup and sequence of operations on servers and controllers.
- Commission systems from server to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.), including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Load system-level controller software and calibrate devices using electronic test equipment.
- Analyze data from commissioning tools to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members regarding job progress and system performance.
- Document field changes, commissioning results, and provide as-built documentation.
- Stay current on industry standards, tools, and programming platforms including Niagara 4, Tridium, BACnet, PLCs, and Ladder Logic.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- Proven expertise in commissioning, programming, and integrating HVAC control systems.
- In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, control theory, and networking protocols (e.g., BACnet).
- Experience with Niagara 4, Tridium, PLCs, and Ladder Logic is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems in real-time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
