Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our food service operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized while also assisting with bussing tables and supporting food preparation efforts.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash regularly.
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a clean dining environment for incoming patrons.
- Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, slicing deli meats & vegetables.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order; report any maintenance issues to management.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Rolling silverware and any other tasks asked of by management.
Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent cleaning skills with a focus on hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Basic cooking skills are beneficial for assisting with food preparation tasks however willing to train if needed.
- Strong teamwork abilities; willing to support colleagues in various roles as needed.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Must have hustle & bustle in an occasional hectic environment. Sense of urgency in motion REQUIRED!
- Must have reliable transportation.
