At ASAP Commercial Doors, field BDRs aren’t waiting for leads: they’re out there earning them. This role exists to generate net new service opportunities where few (or none) exist. The BDR fuels top-of-funnel growth, builds pipeline in cold markets, and opens doors, literally and figuratively.
This isn’t call center sales. This is cold calling, parking lot drop-ins, and building real relationships in the community. You are the face of our service division, the first handshake that leads to a lifelong customer.
Core ResponsibilitiesTerritory Development
- Identify high-opportunity zones using mapping tools, competitor audits, and referral clusters.
- Build a repeatable weekly route: 10–15 local businesses visited/day minimum.
- Maintain log of all walk-ins, contacts, and follow-ups via CRM.
Outbound Prospecting
- Make 40–60 outbound calls/day to property managers, facility contacts, and commercial business owners.
- Drop printed materials, get face time, and always ask: “Who handles your commercial doors here?”
- Follow Service Crucible’s 4x4x4 follow-up model: 4 touches across 4 weeks using 4 channels (call, email, drop-in, social).
Pipeline Creation
- Set appointments for senior estimators or book minor service work directly.
- Qualify prospects using BANT: Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline.
- Tag accounts in CRM based on status: warm, quoted, cold, not qualified.
Coordination
- Sync with service dispatch to align availability before overbooking.
- Deconflict schedules with inside sales or existing account owners.
- Provide weekly reports of accounts opened and forecasted jobs.
What Winning Looks Like
You’re not just filling a role: you’re expanding our footprint, and what that provides for you is long term positioning at a company that is rapidly scaling with uncapped income earning potential. A successful BDR is self-managed, metrics-obsessed, and thrives off creating momentum in untapped markets, and undaunted by the idea of conquering competitor saturated ones. You know where your next 5 deals are coming from and keep your pipeline stocked like a pro.
