Description
The Business Process Operations- Project Manager will support the Mental Health Parity team within Health & Benefits (H&B) North America by analyzing, optimizing, and improving operational workflows that drive client delivery, compliance, and service excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about improving processes that support health and welfare benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and document current MHPAEA operational processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Client Delivery, Operations, Technology, and Sales Operations) to implement process enhancements that improve accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Support automation and AI initiatives by supporting the development and testing, defining requirements and streamlining intake, data validation, and reporting processes
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure alignment with regulatory and client-specific requirements
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure client satisfaction
- Act as a liaison between MHPAEA, operations and technology teams to support system enhancements and issue resolution
- Participate in Excellence reviews to ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as operational scalability
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Health Administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in business operations, preferably within the health and benefits or insurance industry
- Experience working with and knowledge of U.S. health and welfare benefits regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with process mapping and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and process documentation tools.
- Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working in a matrixed or client-facing environment
- Knowledge of Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA)
- Continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000-$130,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
