Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area and equipment.
- Package meat products for display or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, saws, and grinders safely and effectively.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food production and safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in meat cutting or related roles within the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Strong knife skills with an understanding of various cutting techniques.
- Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
