Job Summary
Cedar International Services is seeking 1 full-time Cafe Assistant / Barista. As a valued member of our culinary team, the Cafe Assistant will work Monday through Friday, 6am to 2pm, and will support daily operations by ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer care. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and seamless dining experience, assisting in both back-of-house preparation and front-of-house service with attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, assemble, and serve meals with precision, adhering to established recipes and portion standards.
- Ensure food presentation meets the quality and aesthetic standards of the establishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, including workstations, dining areas, and service equipment.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service to guests, assisting with questions and special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to support efficient, high-quality meal production and service.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking, and supply organization to ensure operational readiness.
- Uphold a positive and professional demeanor, contributing to a welcoming and teamoriented atmosphere.
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Commitment to excellence in food quality, safety, and customer service.

- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to service.
