Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Canine Handler to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the safety, well-being of dogs at our doggy day care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and a genuine love for working with dogs. As a Canine Handler, you will be responsible for managing various canine behaviors, watching and checking in dogs as well as feeding them. This is a great environment for people who love dogs. Our englewood facility has outdoor and indoor areas employee break rooms and a very fun easy going work environment.
Duties
- Handle and care for dogs of various breeds and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Provide pet care services such as feeding and petting.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dog handling and watching area.
- Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to staff or management promptly.
- Checking in dogs on our Gingr software and returning them to their owner.
- Occasional bathing of dogs
Experience
- Previous experience in dog handling or related fields such as veterinary assistance, animal care, or pet sitting is preferred but will train the right dog lover.
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to animal welfare and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both animals, team members and clients.
