Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and companionship.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments.
- Medication reminders as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or hospice care is highly desirable.
- Proficient in patient care techniques, including first aid and behaviour management.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and senior care best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting clients when necessary.
