Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business invites applications for the position of Career Readiness Specialist. This position supports College of Business students in their preparation to successfully enter into the workforce and works with employers to grow internship and employment opportunities. This position reports to the College of Business Dean.This position integrates and supports career preparation opportunities throughout the College of Business student experience by teaching, providing guidance, sharing resources, instilling confidence, and helping to connect students with employers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree from an AACSB-accredited four-year institution in business or other relevant field plus professional experience related to the position.
This exceptional person selected for this role would be responsible for teaching classes in the College of Business as needed. They would help lead the College’s career readiness initiatives, including being available to individually advise and guide Southeastern CoB students to prepare and compete for internships, professional employment, and graduate opportunities. This work would include supporting the College’s student organizations, and potentially its Living Learning Community, as a part of its culture that builds career readiness. The Career Readiness Specialist will also help develop and maintain relationships with employers in order to expand the quantity and quality of full-time and part-time employment and internship opportunities available for CoB students. The person selected would also work on special projects or other duties as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the Higher Education Industry.
Demonstrated success driving outcomes and exceeding goals and objectives
Demonstrated proficiency in designing and delivering career and professional development content.
Prior experience building relationships and partnerships among stakeholders.
Gallup CliftonStrengths or similar certifications.
