We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teen Personal Supports Worker. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caring for people with special needs and always ensure her safety and well-being. You are there to assist the main caregiver/mother with the teen. This girl’s interests include pop music, crafts, animals, shopping, and being outdoors. If you are interested in spending time with a wonderful girl and having fun, please apply today!
Location: New Berlin, WI
Pay: $20.28 per hour
Schedule: • 12 to 15 hours per week (3 hours minimum per shift) • Afterschool-early evenings (2:30pm to 5:30pm)
Skills: • Experience with special needs clients/autism spectrum disorder • Experience with non-verbal communication methods • Able to assist with mobility and transfers
Tasks: • Provide companionship and supervision • Assist with ambulation, feeding, meal prep, toileting, & transfers as needed • Engage in meaningful activities with the client's interests in mind.
Qualifications: • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. • Must be 18 or older at the start of employment. • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance • Must have experience with special needs teens • Must pass a caregiver background check • Must be ok with client's service dog
