Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals with special needs. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and support in various settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those you care for. The shift we are hiring for is an OVERNIGHT shift:
Sunday - Thursday (10PM - 6AM) with Friday and Saturday OFF
Client is usually asleep but in case the client needs anything throughout the night you are there to assist.
Responsibilities
- Provide care with a focus on dignity, respect, and individual preferences.
- Monitor and record vital signs and any relevant behavioral or health changes as needed.
- Engage individuals with special needs through activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement.
- Assist with mobility and transfers safely and respectfully.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to implement and adapt care plans effectively.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster positive relationships and promote well-being.
- Assist with behavioral management strategies when necessary, ensuring a calm and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in supporting individuals with special needs is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of care techniques related to developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required by client needs, while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to empower and support others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
