Summary
As a Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional in-home support to seniors and individuals recovering from illness or injury. Located in various communities across the United States, this position is essential for helping clients maintain their dignity and independence in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring clients' health and safety.
- Support clients with memory care and cognitive challenges through engaging activities.
- Help clients with mobility assistance and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and families.
- Ability to assist with physical tasks, including heavy lifting as required.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including monitoring vital signs is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is beneficial.
