Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to care plans
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being
- Prior experience supporting clients with Autism or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with behavioral support techniques or individualized care approaches
- Experience dealing with Clients Autism/ developmental delays
- Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living areas
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate medical professionals
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding client progress and needs
- Document tasks and create care notes for each visit
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality
- Provide companionship and respite services for the family
Skills:
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong cooking skills and experience in meal preparation for special dietary needs.
- Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks such as taking vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or developmental delays preferred
