Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on route driving, timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through dependable service.
Duties
- Operate a van or box truck to transport goods to various locations.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling of products.
- Utilize a pallet jack for heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar courier role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with route driving and local roadways.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with heavy lifting and using equipment such as pallet jacks.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is a plus.
