Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the meat cutting area
- Assist customers with selecting appropriate cuts of meat and provide excellent customer service
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe handling of meat products
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and meat processing techniques
- Excellent knife skills and ability to use meat cutting equipment safely
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting meat
- Good communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
