Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist experienced carpenters in various tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects while learning valuable skills along the way.
Duties
- Assist in the construction and installation of frameworks, structures, and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform trim carpentry and frame carpentry tasks under the guidance of skilled carpenters.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks
- Assist with roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and other general maintenance person duties.
- Read schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Carry out heavy lifting duties as required during construction activities.
Experience
- Previous construction site experience is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Experience deck, sunrooms, screenroom is a plus.
