Hourly Rate: $16.06 - $21.63
Job Description: Provides Peer Support groups to a maximum of 30 clients from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Provides a broad range of social services to clients and their families. Participates in treatment team planning and performs crisis intervention. Assists in dealing with personal and social problems. Serves as a liaison for social services. Will perform case management duties.
Anticipated Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Hours may vary occasionally for program coverage.
Competencies: Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria. Knowledge of how client advocacy system operates. Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques. Knowledge of various therapeutic models and interventions as directly related to area of assignment. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience in a human service-related field. Bachelor’s degree in a helping field (psychology, sociology, etc.) preferred. Must currently be a Certified Peer Specialist-Mental Health (CPS-MH) or be eligible to apply for certification. Must receive CPS - MH certification within 1 year of hire. Must be at least 21 years old to apply. Must have a valid in-state driver’s license and have a driving record with no more than 6 points. Experience with or knowledge of trauma informed, resilience-oriented care preferred.
