Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are processed efficiently.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales volume.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth operation throughout the store.
- Assist in training new staff members on cash handling procedures and customer service best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Experience in product demos or upselling techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
