We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include managing guest seating, processing transactions, and assisting with any inquiries to enhance the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating arrangements efficiently.
- Operate the POS system accurately to process customer orders and payments.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in managing reservations and waitlists effectively.
- Communicate with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Uphold high standards of food service and guest services throughout the dining experience.
- Utilize phone etiquette to handle incoming calls professionally, providing information about menu items and restaurant services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or guest services is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on helping guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills related to restaurant operations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
