Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products on shelves and ensuring displays are appealing.
- Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are fully stocked and inventory is managed effectively.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support store operations.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
