Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Demonstrate product knowledge by providing informative product demos to customers.
- Upsell additional products or services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries regarding products or services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse customers.
