Cool Cat Cafe returns to the Westside and we need you to join our team! Well established in Lahaina for over 20 years, we relocated our full service restaurant to Kihei in July 2024. A new fast-casual counter service concept, Cool Cat Express will be serving up burgers, fries and milkshakes in Whalers Village starting in June 2025. We are seeking a friendly and efficient people to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for our customers. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment and maintaining the overall efficiency of our operations. As we are a small concept, candidates should feel comfortable moving between all Front of House positions, expo, counter and milkshake counter where we make old fashioned hand spun milkshakes. This is a tipped position.
Requirements
- Basic math skills to accurately handle transactions and provide change.
- Previous experience in a grocery store, quick service fast food restaurant, or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Prepare and serve milkshakes and other food items while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and dining area.
- Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
As a new concept we are looking for people that want to join us at the ground floor, help us develop procedures and help get Cool Cat back home!
