Catering Delivery Driver Schedule is Monday to Friday - 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM
In this role, you will be held responsible for delivering meals to various schools and daycare centers, ensuring that our products arrive on time and in excellent condition. Attention to detail is crucial. Drivers will be responsible for maintaining handwritten logs that will be used to verify that all meals are delivered accurately. Additionally, a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is required to ensure safe operation.

Delicious Unlimited in Gurnee, IL is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional service customer service while delivering our finished product to clients. You are our "front of the house" and face of Delicious Unlimited, LLC. The position will including loading, unloading, reviewing checklists to your assigned route, greeting clients on site during delivery, and maintaining driving safety precautions. Catering Delivery Driver Responsibilities
- Delivery and Setup: Transporting catering orders to designated locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery. This may also involve setting up buffet tables, warming stations, and other equipment according to company standards.
- Customer Service: Interacting with clients at delivery locations, providing excellent service, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Order Management: Verifying orders before departure, maintaining accurate delivery records, and making adjustments necessary along the way for items forgotten.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and properly fueled.
- Food Safety: Ensuring food is transported at the correct temperature and handled safely to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- Assistance with Food Prep: In some cases, drivers may assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as assembling baskets or trays.
- Route Navigation: Utilizing GPS or other navigation tools to efficiently plan and execute delivery routes.
- Adherence to Regulations: Following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Flexibility: Catering delivery drivers need to be flexible with their work hours, as events can occur at various times, including evenings and weekends.
Catering Delivery Driver Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to perform strenuous lifting and loading of goods
- Diligence and attention to detail in handling paperwork
- Neat, professional appearance and the ability to deal with customers
- Ability to work independently and maintain open communication with clients and employers
