We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. Duties
- Perform sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and methods.
- Maintain accurate inventory management of sterile supplies and equipment, ensuring that all items are accounted for and restocked as necessary.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the handling of sterile items.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand specific sterilization needs based on anatomy and physiology knowledge.
- Document sterilization processes and maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
- Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to sterilization processes and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is beneficial for understanding the requirements of various medical instruments.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage inventory efficiently are crucial for success in this role.
