Cardiology practice in McDonough, Georgia is looking for a self-motivated Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care. Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to other offices as needed is required. Cardiology experience is preferred, and knowledge or proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Obtain and document medical history of patient.
-Triage patient and recording vital signs.
-Provide patient education and instructions given by physicians.
-Prepare exam rooms and equipment.
-Comply with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
-Performing EKGs and drawing labs as needed.
- Front desk duties, as needed (scheduling and answering phone calls)
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
-Communications Skills- ability to interact with patients in a professional manner and able to discuss patient information confidentially.
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a high patient volume setting
- Must be currently registered or certified as a medical assistant.
