Job Responsibilities
Under supervision of the superintendent/ designee differentiates Instruction to meet the individual academic needs of inmate students at the secondary level.
Demonstrates effective classroom management.
Maintains an effective instructional program.
Develops an individual education plan based on student's diagnostic profile.
Develops appropriate daily lesson plans, maintains accurate and up to date grade book and daily student attendance.
Delivers proficient content Instruction in all areas and utilizes resources available to ensure mastery.
Satisfies all mandatory training (SCDC/ PUSD). Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
A valid South Carolina teaching credential.
Certification in secondary Math, Science, Social Studies, or English/ Language Arts preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
