Responsibilities:
- Conduct yoga classes for individuals or groups, focusing on proper form and technique with an emphasis on creating not just a class but a community
- Provide guidance and support to clients during yoga sessions, offering modifications and adjustments as needed to create a welcoming studio for all levels and body types
- Educate students on the benefits of yoga and promote a healthy lifestyle
- Maintain a clean and safe yoga studio environment
- Welcome students, keep accurate records of client attendance and progress, make sure facility is unlocked and locked at the appropriate times, and answer student questions after class
Experience:
- Certification in yoga instruction from a recognized organization,
-Previous teaching experience
- Knowledge of various yoga styles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on kindness and joy
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their wellness goals
Tree Yoga is a one-year old studio in West Roxbury that is focused on serving the community in a positive and supportive manner. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Pay is $50 per hour for teachers with 1-2 years of experience and more for those with additional teaching experience. Bonus pay is provided when class enrollments exceed ten students. Tree Yoga instructors should have a focus on building community, helping students improve their physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga.
Currently, we are hiring for the following classes and for substitute teachers:
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 a.m. (45 minute Stretch, Flow and Go class)
Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. (Yin Yoga)
Fridays at 5:30 p.m. (Yin Yoga or Friday Night Relax and Recharge)
Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 a.m. (Power Flow)
Fridays at 9:15 a.m. (Yoga Sculpt)
If you are a new instructor with limited teaching experience, we offer a Sunday Community Class, in which instructors are paid $5 for each student who is in attendance.
