Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, great communication skills, complete with followthrough and be able to "walk the walk" in doing what they say they can do, including, but not limited to: showing up for work on time for (and completing) all scheduled shifts, a strong background in food service management and a creative flair for menu planning. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ordering, inventory, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires excellent leadership skills to supervise kitchen staff and manage inventory effectively.
Duties
- Plan and create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and high morale.
- Collaborate with catering teams for special events, ensuring all catering orders are executed flawlessly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and techniques to enhance the dining experience.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control and menu planning.
- Experience in catering is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers positively.

Pay: $22.05 - $26.56 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
