The Chemical Operator (CO) works in various warehouse and chemical production work zones focusing on chemical handling/transfers, safety, and operating a forklift. They must operate with all chemicals utilizing Webb’s safety protocols, Work Instructions, PPE and adhere to safety standards for each and every work zone. This is an effort to outline the responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to, all the following and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)
DIRECT REPORTS: NONE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the safe and efficient chemical transfer of hazardous chemicals and/or packaging operations or tanker loading/offloading
- Tanker, Drum, and Stainless Tote washout
- Truck Scales
- Floor and Portable Scales
- Scrubber Operations
- Driving Capability
- Operating forklift to load/unload trucks
- Working with Inventory Management System
- Barcoding, loading boxes, shipping/receiving, repackaging, correct labeling
- Handling of solvents - packaging and blending while properly grounding/bonding
- Boiler Operations
- Steaming of railcars and tankers
- Proper use of safety equipment and safety showers
- Following, improving, and updating work instructions
- Reporting and being an active part of the continual improvement process
- Ability to perform audits in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Rail site regulations
- Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe and professional work environment
- Facilities housekeeping for Warehouses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 10
- Rail Site Operations - receiving railcars, empty return railcars, and steaming
- Following safety procedures and adhering to all Webb PPE requirements
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions daily/year round
- Check in with Supervisor/Lead before punching out daily for any final assignments
- Special Projects and other duties as assigned

- Responsible for Operational Compliance of Webb Chemical Service’s safety, regulatory, and environmental program requirements applicable to all the facilities chemical transfer operations.

- Forklift Operator experience

WORK SCHEDULE
- 40 hours/week, OT as needed
- Monday-Friday, weekend work as needed
- 2nd shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm
- Lunch/Breaks: as planned/scheduled per day
- Regular and consistent attendance
- After Hours – as scheduled
