The Parent Collective is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Childbirth Education Instructor to lead our upcoming prenatal class series beginning September 2, 6–8pm, for 4 consecutive weeks. This position has the potential for ongoing teaching opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging and supportive prenatal education classes following The Parent Collective’s established curriculum.
- Create a welcoming, judgment-free environment for expectant parents and partners.
- Infuse your own professional experience, stories, and practical knowledge to enrich discussions and enhance learning.
- Guide participants through topics such as labor and delivery, comfort measures, medical interventions, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
- Encourage group participation, foster community among attendees, and provide resources for continued support.
Qualifications
- Must be one of the following:
- Labor & Delivery Nurse (RN with L&D experience)
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
- Strong teaching, public speaking, and group facilitation skills.
- Warm, approachable, and supportive demeanor with a passion for empowering new parents.
- Prior experience teaching or leading groups is preferred but not required.

- Schedule: September 2–23, Tuesdays, 6–8pm (4-week series).

- Compensation: $75/hr 2.5 hours per week.
- Future Opportunities: Possibility of ongoing classes beyond this series.
