Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This individual represents the school with warmth, professionalism, and a Christ-centered attitude. The receptionist supports the daily administrative operations of the school office and helps create a welcoming, organized, and spiritually uplifting environment.
Duties
- Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff with a friendly and Christlike attitude.
- Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain visitor logs and ensure school security protocols are followed.
- Assist with attendance records, student check-ins/outs, and daily announcements.
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, mail distribution, and ordering office supplies.
- Communicate clearly with parents and staff through emails, phone calls, and memos.
- Support staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with school policies.
- Help promote a positive school culture aligned with the mission and values of the school.
Experience
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the school’s Christian mission.
- Agreement with and support of the school’s Statement of Faith.
- High school diploma or equivalent (college or office training preferred).
- Previous experience in office administration, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance, discretion, and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Able to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
