Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages within designated routes. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with the job.
Duties
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Operate a box truck or similar vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from recipients.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of packages as required, utilizing appropriate techniques to prevent injury.
- Navigate routes effectively, making adjustments as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the workday.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
