Job Title: Clamp Operator

Job Summary:
The Clamp Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a clamp truck (a type of forklift with hydraulic arms) to move, stack, and organize palletized or non-palletized materials such as large rolls of paper, appliances, or packaged goods. The role ensures materials are handled properly to prevent product damage and supports warehouse or production workflows.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7am - 4pm ** Weekends as needed **

Key Responsibilities:

Operate clamp trucks and other powered industrial trucks (PITs) safely and in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.

Load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse or production area.

Inspect materials for damage and report any issues immediately.

Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and storage locations.

Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics personnel to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience operating a clamp truck or forklift (typically 1+ years).

Valid forklift/clamp truck certification (or ability to obtain).

Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material handling practices.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, and delivery instructions.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
Preferred Skills:

Experience handling delicate or high-value products (e.g., paper rolls, appliances).

Basic computer or scanner use for inventory tracking.
