Position Summary:
As a Facilities Cleaner at YWCA, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our clients, staff, and community members. Your attention to detail and commitment to service will help support our mission by providing healthy and respectful spaces where women and families can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, common areas, and Bristol Bridal Station.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and kitchens, restock supplies as needed
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors; clean windows and mirrors
- Empty trash and recycling bins, dispose of waste responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces to reduce the spread of germs
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisor promptly
- Ensure compliance with YWCA health, safety, and confidentiality policies
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supply inventory; notify supervisor of needs
- Support setup and clean-up for special events or programming as needed
- Promote a respectful and inclusive environment aligned with YWCA values
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong attention to detail
- Physically able to perform cleaning tasks (e.g., lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods)
- Commitment to YWCA's mission and values of equity, dignity, and inclusion

- May require evening or weekend shifts depending on program needs

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
