Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our databases to ensure high availability and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of database design, ETL processes, and scripting capabilities to support our data-driven initiatives.
Duties
- Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize database structures to support application requirements.
- Develop and manage ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Utilize PL/SQL for programming tasks related to database management.
- Create shell scripts to automate routine database tasks and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of databases, including design principles and management techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for database programming tasks.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools for data integration.
- Experience with high availability configurations in database environments.
- Understanding of server management related to database hosting.
- Ability to write shell scripts for automation purposes; familiarity with scripting languages is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $132,227.00 - $138,901.00 per year
