Position Overview
This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support both the Nursing and Environmental Health departments. The role involves direct client interaction, data entry, and general front office support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Essential Functions
- Greet and assist visitors in person and by phone; direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Provide assistance with directions, form completion, appointment scheduling, application processing, and payment collection.
- Interview clients or representatives and input required information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system, including insurance details and appointments.
- Support WIC clients with scheduling, food benefit packets, card refills, and other program-related services.
- Assist with the processing of vital records services.
- Accept drinking water samples on behalf of the Environmental Health lab and follow established intake procedures.
- Follow the entire application process for food and wastewater applications, including intake, payment, documentation, and routing to appropriate Environmental Health staff.
- Ensure all demographic, billing, and clinical information is entered accurately and completely.
- Accept and record client payments; maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Prepare and process daily deposits.
- Maintain and organize client paperwork, perform scanning tasks, and support other front office duties as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of clerical or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
