We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Clerk Typist to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing clerical tasks, including typing, data entry, and document preparation, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


Responsibilities:


  • Type and format documents, reports, and correspondence with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enter data into databases and spreadsheets, ensuring all information is current and correctly formatted.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Assist with answering phones, taking messages, and directing calls as necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Proofread and edit documents for grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors.
  • Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to company policies.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a typist or in a similar clerical role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry software.
  • Excellent typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this role is:

65,000 - 75,000 USD per year(Remote (Gastonia, North Carolina, US))
