This Clinic Secretary Assistant (CSA) role supports the Green Bay Mental Health Walk In Clinic. The Mental Health Walk In Clinic offers support and care to kids who are in need of immediate, same day mental health treatment. The CSA is responsible for checking in patients, creating charts in Epic, entering insurance, managing the lobby, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, clerical work, onboarding new employees, and collaborating with the clinical team.
Schedule for full time role:
Hours are Monday through Friday 11:30 to 8pm. These hours are subject to change based on patient care needs.
Clinic Location - The Green Bay Mental Health Walk In Clinic is located inside the Bellin Psychiatric Center, Inc. The address is 301 E. St. Joseph Street, Green Bay, WI 54301.
GENERAL SUMMARY :
Responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient flow of patients in clinic, performing functions delegated by nursing and physician staff and maintaining and promoting a safe, clean and organized environment for the delivery of care. Also provides clerical support for the assigned clinic.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
High School education or equivalent.
Currently registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants to be eligible for employment in the basic provider settings, or certified as one of the following: Clinical Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. Certified Nursing Assistant certifications are not required to be renewed after hire.
Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred.
Proficient data entry skills with accuracy and speed.
Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families, and team members in a courteous and confidential manner.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks done simultaneously.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
Physical ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as push and pull when performing cleaning functions.
Frequently bends, lifts, twists, reaches, and squats.
Occasionally push/pulls and does overhead work.
