Hudson Pro Health is a healthcare management company, currently serving medical providers in the fields of, orthopedics, pain, neurology, pain management, physical therapy and chiropractic in the greater New York City area.
We are currently searching for a Medical Assistant who support our doctors during office hours at our New York City Offices.
Who We’re Looking For:

- Strong technical skills such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Great phone communication skills
- Knowledge of insurance carriers, managed care plans, and EMR experience
- Patience, Enthusiasm & Excellent Customer Service Skills
- HIPAA understanding
- Great References
- Spanish speaking is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good communication with staff and patients
- Disinfect physician/medical assistant work area, exam tables, and desks
- Escort patient to exam room/x-ray/scheduling
- Review and document patient drug allergies
- Prepare / gown patient for exam
- Review medical information forms for completion
- Ensure physician has required forms in chart
- Obtain and document vitals
- Assist physician with minor office procedures
- Call in prescriptions per physician order; document in chart
- Clean and prepare exam rooms for next patient appointment
- Complete and process FMLA, disability, and all other forms
- Operating knowledge and daily maintenance of fax, printer, and copy machines
- Workable knowledge of electronic medical record systems (EMR) a plus
- Proficient computer skills
- Retrieve phone messages, return phone calls, and chart documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the team leader, administration, or physicians
- Translate English to Spanish for the provider.
- Travel across offices as needed.
Job Requirements -
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must be willing to work at a different office location as needed.
- Bi-lingual: Spanish fluent
- 1 year of previous experience in a medical setting or 2+ years of relevant work experience
