Job Overview
The Clinical Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing the clinical team and driving the delivery of high-quality mental health care across our group practice. This position involves managing clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering clinical excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate will be a licensed LCSW with supervisory experience, a deep commitment to quality care, and a vision for expanding access to effective mental health services in our community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical programs and workflows that align with organizational goals and promote exceptional patient outcomes
- Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, ethical care in line with NYS regulations and accepted standards of practice
- Provide supervision to LMSWs, LMHC interns, and licensed clinicians as applicable under scope of practice
- Lead performance management, guidance, and support for all clinical team members
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to integrate clinical strategy with operations, billing, and marketing
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards, documentation policies, and supervision requirements
- Coordinate staff development through ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development
- Serve as a clinical representative in discussions with external partners, referral sources, and regulatory agencies
Skills
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State (required)
- Eligible to supervise LMSWs (SIFI certification preferred or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health settings
- Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a clinical team
- Strong working knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory compliance in NY
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to evaluate program performance and lead continuous quality improvement
- Compassionate, ethical approach to care delivery with a commitment to client-centered services
