CNC Programmer Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The CNC Programmer will ensure that all specifications are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations, including turning and milling.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for parts fabrication.
- Set up CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling is in place.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to verify dimensions of finished products.
- Implement Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards in programming to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve existing processes and develop new techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong ability in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
- Knowledge of tooling selection and fabrication processes for various materials.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in machining operations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
