Cornerstone – Co-Occurring Specialist Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Responsibilities of the Co-Occurring Specialist
- Work effectively with adults with substance use disorders utilizing evidence based practices
- Act as a resource on the treatment of substance use disorders for other members of the team
- Assess client’s strengths, weaknesses, environmental constraints and resources to help them develop problem solving and coping skills
Qualifications of the Co-Occurring Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of experience in a chemical dependency treatment setting
- Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling preferred
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. May be required to transport clients in personal vehicle.
